Operator manual for install, rules, Order Edit conversion, and 3PL sync.
1. Install
Install from the Shopify App Store, approve Admin scopes, and complete Launch. The app registers orders/create, orders/updated, and GDPR compliance webhooks.
2. Write a rule
A rule lists component variant IDs that must appear together and the warehouse pack SKU to add. Stock that pack SKU at the fulfillment location your 3PL uses.
- Use Launch for the first rule, or Rules studio for edits.
- Keep fulfillment mode on Order Edit.
- Pause a rule for a temporary stop instead of deleting.
3. Conversion pipeline
On order create we authenticate, check trial/plan limits, match active rules, then run Shopify Order Edit. Ledger stores success and failure. Billing counts successful conversions only.
4. ShipStation / 3PL
Import after the edit. If auto-import races the webhook, delay on an edited state/tag or re-pull the order. Tags alone will not cut pick fees.
5. Troubleshooting
- No match: cart missing part of the component set.
- Failed edit: pack SKU inventory, locked order, or API error — check Ledger then Admin timeline.
- Blocked: trial exhausted or monthly limit — open Plan in the app.
